According to the arrangement from Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), Assumption University and Tianjin University of Science and Technology, work transfer of Chinese directors of Confucius Institute at Assumption University was completed.
On October 13th, Dr. Kamol Kitsawad, Vice Rector for Policy, Planning and Quality Assurance, chaired a meeting for all the staff of Confucius Institute. During the meeting, issues like income, budget, Thai staff, offices, Chinese lessons, HSK tests, Confucius classrooms, establish partnerships with the local government and future plans were friendly discussed. Solutions for future development were also worked out.
Mr. Wu Zhenjun, the former Chinese director, transfered the fixed assets, information systems, documents and materials, daily work to Mr. Zhao Peiqin, the new director. The two directors also paid visits to Rev.Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran (rector), Dr. Kamol Kitsawad (vice rector), deans, directors and administrative staff of Assumption University, Chinese directors at other Confucius Institutes in Thailand, Mr. Zhou Gaoyu, No. 1 Secretary of Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand, and Dr. Phraprommangkalachan, President of Council of the Maritime Silk Road Confucius Institute, President of The Confucius Classroom at Traimitwittayalai High School, President the Romchatra Foundation.
