CIAU Celebrates 1st Anniversary and Mid-Autumn Festival

 

On 14th, September, the Confucius Institute at Assumption University (CIAU) held a specail celebration to commemorate its first anniversary and the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.

Therich Chinese cultural content and best wishes for family reunion makes the Mid-autumn Festival one of the most important tradtional festivals in China. For this special occasion, CIAU arranged mooncake DIY, eating mooncake, language games and sports to help more Thai students and faculty members to understand the Chinese culture. Vice President Rev. Bro. Amnuay Yoonprayong, A Sompal Na-Songkhla, and Vindhai Cocracul and hundreds of students joined the event.

CIAU also awarded certificates to outstanding learners for their devotion and achievement.

Since CIAU was launched last September, it has offered dozens of Chinese language programs, Calligraphy and Gu Zheng playing etc. to over 300 registered learners and set up a HSK center and 3 teaching stations. CIAU also joined nearby schools and St. Gabriell Fundation Schools to conduct Chinese teaching and cultural activities and local Chinese teacher development. The Confucius Institute at Assumption University has gradually become a Chinese language education hub in the catholic school system.
