On 19th. October, the Chinese Guizhou Traditional Orchestra performs at the St. Louis Marie de Montfort Church, Suvarnabhumi Campus. It is the second show of the orchestra in Thailand and the concert was jointly presented by the School of Music and Confucius Institute at Assumption University. Chen Jiang, the Chinese Cultural Consular, Dr. Sun Ling Director of Thai Office, CI headquarters and Mr. Kamol Kitsawad, Vice President of AU presented the concert.
The troupe played a dozen famous Chinese string and woodwind solos and ensembles and the enchanting melodies carried the audience away into indefinite imagination and wonder. The traditional Guizhou opera presented by the singer costumed in ethnic Chinese style won many rounds of applause
The concert helps Thai students to understand Chinese folk music and aroused their interest in Chinese culture.
