In order to welcome the arrival of the "International Chinese Day" and let more Thai students experience the beauty of Chinese and understand China's long-standing civilization and splendid culture, the Confucius Institute at Assumption University (CIAU) held the "International Chinese Day" culture experience activities at Assumption College Sriracha.
This cultural experience activity mainly focuses on the production of Chinese door knockers. The history, function and cultural connotation of door knockers are explained in Chinese and Thai, and students are led to learn Chinese vocabulary such as "group, rub, pinch, stick, and press", so that students can deeply experience Chinese tradition. Culture - the production of door knockers to stimulate students' interest in learning Chinese culture.
After the activity, students showed their handmade door knockers to their friends. Mr.Chen Haijie, who has studied Chinese for four years, said that he liked the cultural experience activity of the "Chinese Day" very much. He also likes to learn Chinese characters. He hopes to learn Chinese well and to study in China after the epidemic is over.
