On January 22, 2020, Confucius Institute at Assumption University(hereafter CIAU) celebrated Chinese New Year with nearly a hundred teachers and students from Intertots Trilingual School.
These activities are colorful and lively. The performances are full of flavor and excitement, including sketches, drama performances, dance performances, Chinese songs, Chinese speeches, and poetry recitations. The festival scene is full of festive atmosphere.
At Intertots Trilingual School, led by a Chinese teacher, more than 300 primary school students in 16 classes of this school brought programs such as Chinese songs, characteristic dances, and Chinese classic poetry chanting. On the stage, the children earnestly performed wonderful shows such as the song and dance "Gong Xi Fa Cai", "Mushroom Girl", "Go for Happiness", and "Seaweed Dance". The lively performances won warm applause from time to time.The joyful atmosphere infected every guest present. The drama "Chinese Class", the sketch "Poetry Recitation", and the song and dance performance "Happy Year" created a joyful and festive Chinese New Year atmosphere for the audience. After the performance, under the guidance of the Confucius Institute teachers, students learned and experienced the table tennis, tasted delicious dumplings. They were immersed in joy by experiencing the lively New Year atmosphere and reminiscing Strong Spring Festival culture.
The successful holding of these 2020 Chinese New Year celebrations enabled every participants to experience the unique and charming Chinese traditional culture. In the coming year, CIAU will strive to promote the work of Confucius Institute to a higher level.
