On September 10, 2019, Confucius Institute at Assumption University (hereafter CIAU) held Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration at Assumption University and Sripruetta School. The theme of this activity is “celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and welcome the Natioanl Day”, and this activity attracted more than 1700 teachers and students to attend.
In this celebration, CIAU arranged five special activities included mooncakse making, tea culture experiencing, lanterns making, award-winning Chinese knowledge question and blessings writing.
During activities, mooncakes making attracted lots of teachers and students. They made mooncakes under the instruction of teachers by themselves. While lantern making and tea culture experiencing activities also attracted lots of people. Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, vice president of Assumption University attended award-winning Chinese knowledge question activity, and he easily answered one question: The most commonly used chat APP in China-- WeChat.
In the end of activity, every participants wrote down their best wishes for themselves, their families and their friends on message board.
CIAU hopes to build a communication platform for teachers and students of China and Thailand and deliver best wishes through Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration. CIAU try to tell Chinese stories well, and at the same time, CIAU is committed to creating Confucius Institute with characteristic and to provide better learning environment for Chinese learners.
