Culture Work Exhibition

On January 14th to 18th, 2019, Confucius Institute at Assumption University (hereafter CIAU) held the second Selected Chinese Culture Works of Teachers and Students Exhibition. The works covered Chinese painting, calligraphy, paper-cutting, paper-engraving, Chinese knots, facial mask painting, and Chinese painting. All collections were from the original works of students of CIAU.

During the exhibition, the teachers and students of Assumption University stopped to appreciate these marvelous works and take photos. After seeing the exhibition, many students had a keen interest in traditional Chinese culture and talents. They had come to CIAU to enroll in the Chinese language and Chinese culture courses for the new semester one after another.

The exhibition of outstanding works of Chinese culture also attracted more than 40 internships from Bangkok Innovation School and more than 50 teachers who participated in the training of native Chinese teachers in Thailand in 2019. They took photos with their favorite works in front of the exhibition. Among them, Mr. Audwin Yap, an outstanding student of CIAU, whose calligraphy and Chinese painting were the most popular.

This exhibition aimed to provide a platform for the teachers and students of CIAU and the participants of CIAU’s activities to demonstrate their Chinese talents and further stimulate their enthusiasm and interests for learning Chinese and understanding Chinese culture. Meanwhile, it opened a window for teachers and students of Assumption University to understand China and appreciate the traditional Chinese culture.

CIAU had always attached importance to promoting Chinese culture and showing teaching achievement through various forms and channels, such as Confucius Institute Day, China Talent Contest, Chinese Clothes Contest, Chinese Knowledge Contest and other activities.
