On November 27th, CIAU held the Secondary School Students Chinese Speech Contest. 24 players from 12 schools in central and eastern Thailand participated in the competition.
The speech contest was divided into Junior Middle School group and Senior Middle School group. The topic for Junior Middle School group was their stories with China. The contestants talked about the relationship with China from the childhood's vague memory to indissoluble bound with China; the topic for Senior Middle School group was that China and Thailand are the members of one family. The contestants introduced the profound friendship between China and Thailand from the aspects of economy, politics and culture, which would last forever and eternally renewed.
After a fierce competition, Ma Lingyun from Streesmutprakan School and Wang Jinxin from Thawaranukul School won the first prize of Junior Middle School group and Senior Middle School group respectively.
CIAU hoped to establish a platform for exchanges and learning among Thai middle school students by organizing this Chinese speech contest. It was also hoped that Thai students could learn more about China and improve their Chinese level through this activity.
