CIAU Singing Contest

    November 20th, 2018, Confucius Institute at Assumption University (hereafter CIAU) held Chinese Singing Contest. 59 students from 42 schools in the company of their instructors, parents, classmates and friends from all parts of Thailand participated the contest at  Suvarnabhumi Campus of Assumption University.

 

 

 

    This was the third time to organize Chinese Singing Contest since the establishment of CIAU on September 12th, 2015. It aimed to build a stage and communication platform for students in Thailand who loved Chinese songs. The contest is popular among teachers, students and their parents. The students were divided into five groups: Primary School Grade 1 to 3, Primary School Grade 4 to 6, Junior Middle School, Senior Middle School and the University group. The Chinese songs from the contestants were melodious, powerful or soft. It presented a wonderful Chinese singing feast.

 

 

 

 

 

    After fiery competition, the champions are Lapasrada Pongsuthinun from Assumption College Rayong (Primary School Grade 1 to 3 group), Kaptinan Sakulwaranan from Bangbo Primary School (Primary School Grade 4 to 6 group), Donlapond Akkalaponsan from Chonkanyanukoon School (Junior Middle School group), Yulradee Khumkanokkan from the American School of Bangkok (Senior Middle School group), Maliwan Krawaonak from Panyapiwat Institute of Management (University group).

 

 

 

    CIAU also prepared question and answer interactions. By recognizing Chinese musical instruments or classic Chinese songs, the understanding of Chinese music and Chinese songs was deepened and the interests and impetus of Chinese language and Chinese culture were enhanced in a relaxed atmosphere.
