On Nov. 7th, teaching site agreement signing ceremony between Confucius Institute at Assumption University (hereafter CIAU) and Intertots Trilingual School (hereafter ITS) was held. Ms. Chalermkwan Jearawongsakul, director of ITS, Mrs. Busara Khernamnai, vice director of ITS, Ms. Siriluk Chaiprompasit, Thai director of CIAU and Mr. Zhao Peiqin, Chinese director of CIAU signed the agreement. Mrs. Cheng Jangkongpanich, Chairwoman of the School Committee of ITS, teachers and students of ITS and teachers from CIAU attended the signing ceremony. ITS officially became the eleventh teaching site of CIAU.
In her speech, Mrs. Cheng Jangkongpanich said that ITS is an international school which pays great attention to Chinese, English and Thai. The school would take this cooperation as an opportunity to strengthen their Chinese language teaching, Chinese proficiency tests, and Chinese cultural activities. To improve students' Chinese proficiency and intercultural communication skills is ITS’ vision and mission. ITS will strive to become a key institution of Chinese teaching in Chachoengsao Province and prepare qualified modern talents for Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand. Mr. Zhao Peiqin gave a brief introduction of CIAU, vision and mission, services and cooperation with its teaching sites. Mr. Zhao Peiqin said that ITS, a test center of CIAU, has successfully held YCT tests and cooperated well with CIAU. In the future, more cooperation would be carried out in Chinese language teaching, Chinese proficiency tests, teachers training and Chinese cultural activities between CIAU and ITS.
In order to celebrate the co-founding of Chinese teaching site at ITS, the students presented well prepared performances like "Welcome to Beijing", "The Shaolin Heroes", "Wooden" and "Follow the Father's Footsteps", which showed their Chinese proficiency.
