On October 4th, 2018, CIAU held a training and Chinese language and culture camp for 145 teachers and students from Assumption College Rayong, Assumption College Thonburi, Streesmutprakan School, Assumption College English Program, Nawamintharachinuthit Triamudomsuksapattanakam School, Minburi Technical College and Benchamaracharungsarit School. The teachers and students of the above schools will go to Tianjin to participate the autumn camps in batches on October 8th to October 27th. The event aimed to deepen their understanding of China and Chinese culture and get them ready for the autumn camps in October.
Mr. Zhao Peiqin, the Chinese director of CIAU, gave lectures on brief introduction of CIAU, the scholarship programs for studying in China, brief introduction of China, brief introduction of Tianjin, purpose of autumn camp project, things need to know to visit China and how to improve trans-cultural communication abilities.
CIAU also arranged Chinese culture experience activities for the teachers and students, including Gu Zheng, calligraphy, Tai chi, paper cutting, facial mask painting, Chinese painting and so on, to warm up for their exchange study in China.
The teachers and students thanked Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and CIAU for providing them this opportunity to study in China. They would cherish this opportunity and work hard to improve their Chinese language and trans-cultural communication skills.
