Clothes Contest

February 7, CIAU held Chinese Clothes Contest which attracted students from 8 schools of 4 provinces in Thailand.

This contest was composed of two sections: clothing show and talent show. In clothing show section, the contestants showcased different Chinese clothes like Han clothing, cheongsam, Chinese minority clothing and so on. In talent show section, the contestants gave colorful performances such as singing, dancing, musical instrument playing.

 

After fierce competition, Xianwei Wong from Guang Hua School won the first prize. Bourchompoo Bhudhasoontorn from Matthayom Bangkapi School won the second prize. Kainon Khamrod and Saranchana Sukrattanajrean from Benchamarachuthit Chanthaburi School won the third prize. Through network voting, Kainon Khamrod and Saranchana Sukrattanajrean from Benchamarachuthit Chanthaburi School were awarded as the most popular contestants with 1131 votes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In order to help the audience deepen their understanding of traditional Chinese clothes, CIAU organized the catwalk show. As the models presented the traditional Chinese clothes, the host gave a detailed introduction of those clothes.

This contest set the stage for the students who loved traditional Chinese clothes. It is hoped that appreciating the beauty of Chinese clothes would arouse the students’ interests and enthusiasm in Chinese learning. The contest would have an imperceptible influence.
