Knowledge Contest

31 January 2018, Confucius Institute of Assumption University (CIAU) held Chinese Knowledge Contest which attracted more than 150 teachers and students from 25 schools. Besides Thai students, students from South Korea, Malaysia and Japan also participated the contest.

The contest aims at arousing interests and enthusiasm in learning Chinese knowledge and helping the people know more about rule China, which will help strengthen the partnership and friendship among China and other countries.

The contest was divided into preliminaries, semi-finals and finals. The questions covers China’s history, geography, language, literature, sports, culture and so on. After fierce competition, Wassana Wannacharoen from Rayongwittayakom School won the first prize, Jidapa Ausavapirom from Guang Hua School won the second prize and Rossarin Saeseaw from Guang Hua School won the third prize.

Ms. Nuttaporn Watthanathanakorn, principal of Guang Hua School, said that she was inspired by the contest and she planned to offer Chinese knowledge classes at her school to make more Thai students know more about China.
