December 8-9, CIAU organized training for Chinese teachers who are non-native speakers of Chinese. 40 teachers from 25 schools were trained.
The training aimed at providing a platform for the teachers to exchange their experiences and helping them improve their Chinese teaching.
Lectures prepared for them are: Half-Half Classroom by Mr. Zhang Changjun, Application of Multimedia in Chinese Teaching by Mr. Aphinop Karunyalert, Traditional Chinese Medicine for Your Health and Your Life by Professor Zhong Qiangwei, How to Motivate Your Class by Ms. Zhang Yudan. The teachers also learned and experienced Chinese traditional handicrafts, calligraphy, facial masks, Chinese tea, Chinese chess and Tai Chi.
On the closing ceremony, Mr. Zhao Peiqin, the Chinese director of CIAU, explained vision, mission and services of CIAU in details. Ms. Siriluk Chaiprompasit, the Thai director of CIAU, expressed wishes to cooperate with more schools in Chinese teaching and Chinese culture activities.
