On November 14, 2017, teaching site agreement signing ceremony between Confucius Institute of Assumption University (CIAU) and Assumption Samutprakarn School (ACSP) was held. Bro. Thaksabutr Kraiprasit, Director of ACSP, Ms. Rungrat Kamolsiriprasert, Head of Academic Affairs of ACSP, Ms. Siriluk Chaiprompasit, Thai Director of CIAU and Mr. Zhao Peiqin, Chinese Director of CIAU signed the agreement together. The directors of Admissions, Finance Management, Information Center and other offices of ACSP witnessed the ceremony. ACSP became the fifth teaching site of CIAU.
Bro. Thaksabutr Kraiprasit gave a brief introduction of ACSP’s Chinese teaching, uniqueness, featured projects and the development plans for Chinese teaching. Ms. Siriluk Chaiprompasit introduced the origin and present development of Confucius Institutes. Mr. Zhao Peiqin introduced the general business of Confucius Institute and the detailed cooperation between CIAU an ACSP.
There are 4536 students from 81 classes studying Chinese in ACSP which was founded in 1979. After the ceremony, CIAU will guide and help ACSP in Chinese teaching, Chinese culture activities, Chinese proficiency tests and Chinese language teachers training.
