November 13, 2017, CIAU organized Chinese movie and salon activities at Nawamintharachinuthit Triamudomsuksapattanakam School (NTS), its teaching site. Mrs. Supaporn Rattnoy, director of NTS, attended that activities and delivered a speech. In her speech, she praised the cooperation between CIAU and NTS in Chinese teaching and Chinese culture activities and encouraged the study harder in their Chinese to contribute to China-Thailand cooperation. In his speech, Mr. Zhao Peiqin, Chinese director of CIAU, thanked Mrs. Supaporn Rattnoy for her support for Chinese teaching and China-Thailand cooperation in education and culture and expressed his firm belief that the teaching site program would surely comprehensively enhance Chinese teaching.
More than 120 teachers and students attended the activities which mainly included Chinese movie and culture salon. After brief introduction of the movie from the CIAU teacher in charge, the teachers and students watched the Return of the Monkey King. After watching interactions deepened their understanding of Chinese movie culture. For the culture salon, the students were divided into four groups with the name of Tang Master, Monkey King, Piggy and Sandy Monk. The groups competed with each other in guessing Chinese characters, reading Chinese characters, passing on Chinese sentences and making Chinese sentences. The students learned and improved their Chinese in the games. The students expressed their love for the activities.
Pilgrimage to the West themed activities improved their understanding of Chinese culture, stimulated the students’ interests in Chinese learning and laid solid foundation for further cooperation between CIAU and NTS .
