On September 21, 2017, Confucius Institute of Assumption University (CIAU)signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation with Assumption College English Program (ACEP). The MOU was signed by Bro. Pisutr Vapiso, director of ACEP, and Ms. Siriluck Chai Promprasit, Thai director of CIAU, and witnessed by Bro. Vicharn Saengharn, deputy director of ACEP, and Mr. Zhao Peiqin, Chinese director of CIAU.
Yesterday’s ceremony was attended by many special guests including Dr. Saengchai Sotthavarakul, President, Teochew Association of Thailand, Dr. Soonthorn Pibulcharoensit, University registrar of Assumption University, Ms. Liu Yanli, Chinese manager of Confucius Classroom of Assumption Commercial College, Mr. Aphinop Karunyalert, Thai manager of Confucius Classroom of Assumption Commercial College, Bro. Katawut Sitticchosakul, assistant director of ACEP and the parents delegates.
Bro. Pisutr Vapiso and Ms. Siriluck Chai Promprasit expressed their wishes for future cooperation on the ceremony. Dr. Saengchai Sotthavarakul and Bro. Pisutr Vapiso unveiled the teaching site plate together. ACEP became the fourth teaching site of CIAU.
The ceremony included a video presentation of our school, traditional Thai Dance performance by both our primary and secondary students and speeches.
Confucius Institute of Assumption University will assist in improving the quality of Chinese language teaching, Chinese culture activities and Chinese proficiency tests at ACEP.
